This is only a ploy to make more money.....I'm surprised Paramount dosen't kick in a free movie ticket W./purachse of the Orginial film so we don't waste moeny ona Re-Make!

However kuddos to the "Special Feature"..Other: Man Behind the Legacy: Sean S. Cunningham!

I still think Sean S. Cunningham is getting screwed in the deal!!!

I f*cking hate blu-ray. They don't need to make it. And now they are saying that if you want this "delux edition" you have to buy the blu-ray? It's messed up. Blu-Ray suckes.

Paramount is smart...they have had all this material for a long time but waited for this release....Industry insiders knew along time ago that this movie was going to be remade...Paramount owns the rights!..so people have to get their permission first....it wasn't in the box set because true fans would buy the box set regardless of what is in it...just the fact that it is all in one set we would buy it. Now the revamp is here....and its more money to Paramount because true fans have waited for this material and of course it is going to sell more...because everyone who watched this at 9 years old with their eyes peeking through their fingers is going to see the remake...and buy what we have all been waiting for....New Line Cinema is doing the same thing releasing Jason 9 , 10 and Freddy Vs Jason in a one stop shop box set right before the remake opens.....this way they get more out of us....and there is still more to Part7 that true fans want....it will come out in a whole new box set when the franchise hits 30 or 35 years anniversary...that is how they get us!!!!!

yeeeah, its been a while since ive seen this one, but if memory serves, even for a b-rated slasher flick the original 13th was pretty subpar.

thats just my humble opinion as a person who watched b-rated slasher flicks on a regular basis.
