Friday the 13th Trailer Premiering with Saw V

Bloody Disgusting broke the news this weekend that the first ever trailer for Platinum Dunes’ upcoming remake of Friday the 13th will be attached to the release of Lionsgate’s highly anticipated sequel Saw V. That means you’ll be getting your first look at the new Jason in action on October 24th, 2008.

Marcus Nispel is directing this reimagining of the Jason Voorhees mythos. It isn’t a direct remake, as the original Friday the 13th didn’t feature Jason for more than three minutes at the end. While Jason’s mother will be making a cameo appearance here, this is strictly Jason’s film. And the trailer should put to rest any fears that you might have about this particular remake.

The new Friday the 13th will hack its way into theaters across the country on February 13th, 2009.

Friday the 13th was released February 13th, 2009 and stars Jared Padalecki, Danielle Panabaker, Amanda Righetti, Travis Van Winkle, Aaron Yoo, Derek Mears, Jonathan Sadowski, Julianna Guill. The film is directed by Marcus Nispel.

Saw V was released October 24th, 2008 and stars Tobin Bell, Costas Mandylor, Scott Patterson, Betsy Russell, Julie Benz, Meagan Good, Mark Rolston, Carlo Rota. The film is directed by David Hackl.

    lol, err's spot on! Some people go on about old horror movies like they won oscars, but the only reason we call them "classic" was because the acting was terrible, the effects were sh*te, the death scenes were pretty much pathetic, but they are all the reasons we loved them.

    oh i don't know, i don't think i wanna see any trailers that aren't filmed on a cell phone from a drastic angle with horrible quality audio and video, complete with the sound of 10,000 *ssholes all hooting and hollering.

    so if it is the same clip from comicon then i hope to god that the quality sucks or else i wont watch it.
