Frankenstein lands director Paul McGuigan
Shawn Levy was originally attached to direct, although insiders claim the filmmaker and studio had different visions for the project. Shawn Levy wanted a big-budget affair, while the studio wanted to cut costs.
We reported last July that Max Landis (Chronicle) signed on to write the screenplay. Insiders claim the story will be a revisionist take on Mary Shelley's classic novel, with a sci-fi twist. The story will also tackle themes such as friendship and redemption.
No production schedule was given at this time.
Frankenstein comes to theaters in 2014 and stars Daniel Radcliffe. The film is directed by Paul McGuigan.

I can't imagine there being a Frankenstein movie, that is better then the classic one from 1931. Why ruin it?

Aren't we already getting a Frank movie? Sometimes it is true. Studios do think alike
