Frank Miller to Make Buck Rogers

Buck Rogers
Buck Rogers
In a story from The Hollywood Reporter, it looks like Frank Miller and Odd Lot Entertainment will be getting together to make Buck Rogers.

Odd Lot's Gigi Pritzker and Deborah Del Prete are currently talking to Nu Image/Millennium about obtaining the rights to the property.

The plan is for Miller to write and direct this project. With him at the helm the movie is expected to be darker than other versions. The thought is that this new project could take precedence over the proposed Sin City 2 sequel.

Initially Buck Rogers started "as a comic serial in the late 1920's and early '30's" but it has undergone many incarnations over the years.

Wondered when they would dig up Buck Rogers, used to watch Buck as a kid. After the amazing job that was done on Battlestar Galactica ive an open mind to this.

Frank Miller kicks ass...& I grew up with the TV show: "Buck Rogers in the 25th Century" W./Gil Gerard....Sooo this actually could be a good film ...Esp W./Mr. Miller's visionary style!!
.... But to take precedence over the proposed "Sin City 2" sequel is a little silyl since we the "FANS" have had to wait this looong!

Nice. I hope he goes with that kind of fifties/sixties space-race feel, kind of Like Darwyn Cook's New Frontier, or the Incredibles. Have to see how the Spirit came out:

OtisDriftWood: Who told you it sucked? Because they might have been expecting something really different. I can enjoy movies like Robocop, The Punisher (Thomas Jane) and Die Hard as long as i accept that they are going to be ridiculous and in a lot of way cliche action movies.

We were promised Sin City 2, not this sh*t. I wasn't alive in the 20's or 30's nor are many of the movie fanatics today. Hopefully, Sin City 2 won't be forgotten.

I have not thought about Buck Rogers since I caught an episode repeat of the 1981 series 'Buck Rogers in the 25th Century' with Gil Gerard.

I heard The Spirit sucked. He should stick with the Sin City material with Robert Rodriguez directing.

This is good. I've enjoyed the comic and T.V. series alot. A darker take on it would suit it's post apocolyptic theme.
