Fox Orders More Fringe

J.J. Abrams fans have something to celebrate as his latest creation will be sticking around. According to Variety, Abrams' new creation, Fringe, was given a back-nine order from Fox, ensuring a complete first season of the hit series.

The show has had the highest ratings for any new series this season, even though some have yet to premiere. Fringe is the second new series to get a full-season order, following the CW's 90210.

The series stars Anna Torv as an FBI agent who, with the assistance of an eccentric scientist (John Noble) and his bitter son (Joshua Jackson) help track strange occurances down all over the globe.

    killer ur a freaking idiot. the jj abrams admits himself the show has a combition of shows like the xfiles and twilight zone and others like that. You could say every cop and criminal show out there is the same or grey anatomy and house are the same if you wanna break it down like that. what u think the mentalist is. just another lame ass cop show. now that has a better chance of being cancelled than Fringe does.

    ouch, its getting bitter in here.

    i agree with killerman as far it being an updated version of x-files, but i disagree that it'll fold fast, and because of the mentalist no less.

    the mestalist is just another in a long line of detecive shows about uncannily intelligent detectives and i couldnt be less interested in a show like that.
    given the depressing lack of sci-fi shows available on broadcast tv i will be supporting and watching fringe every week.

    Killerman I think it is going to exceed your expectations 10 fold. I think it will reach a level of success that will make you look even more like the idiot we all know you are. Almost any show can be compared to another, its not too hard. If you keep looking at the small defects of every show, and yes every show has its problems, even X-Files, then no show will ever be good enough. Let the small UNIMPORTANT sh*t go and enjoy the show. Im sure youre more of a Spongebob Square Pants fan and thats fine but Fringe is more for those people that have an I.Q. higher than a baked potato, so I guess thats why you hate it. Actual thought must be put in to follow the show and Im sure youre more for the mindless bullsh*t. And what the f*ck is the Mentalist? If it were a success like Fringe I might have heard of it, but I guess its not, oh well.

    Killer Stufu "Fringe" is an amazing show. Im also glad for it to get a complete season and hopefully at least 3 or 4 more as well.

    I'm glad to hear this. Every new episode is better than the last, and I like the scientific concepts they explore. Both "Alias" and "Lost" did that, but this show can do it on a weekly basis.

    Great...I love this show...it has interesting plot lines every week...I'm glad they are renewing it for the whole season...I've been recording it every week to convert it to DVD, so now I will have the whole season...COOL!
