Fox Has a Wall Street Sequel in the Works

Twentieth Century Fox is developing a follow-up to Oliver Stone's 1987 film Wall Street. According to Variety, the film will be a starring vehicle for Michael Douglas. They want him to reprise his role as Wall Street takeover artist Gordon Gekko.

Original producer Edward Pressman has signed on. Stephen Schiff will write the sequel, tentatively titled Money Never Sleeps. Oliver Stone is not involved at this time. And there is no word on whether Martin's son Charlie Sheen will return to the cast.

No word on when production will start.

Wall Street was released December 11th, 1987 and stars Charlie Sheen, Tamara Tunie, Franklin Cover, Chuck Pfeiffer, John C. McGinley, Hal Holbrook, James Karen, Leslie Lyles. The film is directed by Oliver Stone.
