Fox Bringing Torchwood to the U.S.

Fans of a beloved BBC America series will get to see a new version of the show on Fox in the near future. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Fox is developing an American version of the popular BBC series Torchwood.

Russell Davies, who created the original Torchwood series, will be writing the pilot script for Fox and the redo will also feature members of the original production team like Davies' producing partner Julie Gardner along with Jane Tranter. It was hinted at as well that some of the original cast like John Barrowman, could rejoin the American reboot.

It was also said that the show's stories will have a more global setting, rather than the localized British stories that the BBC version told. No production schedule was revealed.

They need to leave this alone, I just want to see Torchwood the British version. If they truly want their own then do a spin off. I want to see season four, with new characters and John, he's such a good actor.
