Four Hour Version of Che Gets Extended Run

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Steven Soderbergh's Che will be getting a little longer run in its complete four-hour form.

In order to be able to compete for an Oscar, the biopic on Ernesto "Che" Guevara started in Los Angeles and New York in one week only runs. The plan for the film, starring Benicio Del Toro, was that it would then come back as two separate films on January 9.

Their titles are The Argentine and The Guerrilla.

According to IFC Films, the response to the film has been so good that two more weekends of the film have been added. This will start December 24 in New York and December 26 in Los Angeles.

Che (Part 1) was released January 24th, 2009 and stars Julia Ormond, Benicio Del Toro, Oscar Isaac, Pablo Guevara, Franklin Díaz, Armando Suárez Cobián, Rodrigo Santoro, María Isabel Díaz. The film is directed by Steven Soderbergh.

Che (Part 2) was released February 20th, 2009 and stars Demián Bichir, Rodrigo Santoro, Benicio Del Toro, Catalina Sandino Moreno, María D. Sosa, Raúl Beltrán, Raúl Gómez, Paty M. Bellott. The film is directed by Steven Soderbergh.
