Four Brothers Tops DVD Charts

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Paramount Home Entertainment's Four Brothers stormed to the top of the DVD sales and rental charts for the week ending Dec. 25, beating several other high-profile new releases in the final week of the holiday shopping season. The John Singleton-helmed thriller narrowly beat last week's sales topper, Universal's The 40-Year-Old Virgin, which slipped to No. 2 on VideoScan's First Alert sales chart.

Another Universal title, Serenity, bowed at No. 3, with the next two slots going to a pair of family films released earlier in the season but still going strong: Warner's The Polar Express, ranked No. 4 after five weeks in stores, and DreamWorks' Madagascar, No. 5 after six weeks.
