Former 'N Sync bandmember JC Chasez has joined the cast of Kerosene Cowboys, director Mario Van Peebles' action-thriller for Svarog-Afterburner Films.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the story is based on a novel by Randy Arrington and follows the rough-riding and hard-living pilots of an elite Navy attack squadron.

Chasez will play one of the pilots in the squadron.

No production date has been set.

Kerosene Cowboys was released in 2009 and stars Cam Gigandet, Rachael Leigh Cook, Shane West, Bill Pullman, Mario Van Peebles, Martin Kove, Jacob Vargas, Troy Garity. The film is directed by Mario Van Peebles.
