In a story from Variety, Forest Whitaker, America Ferrera and Carlos Mencia have come aboard an untitled family wedding project for Fox Searchlight.

Rick Famuyiwa (Brown Sugar) will be directing the project from an original screenplay.

The story follows two fathers (Whitaker and Mencia) who, despite their differences, must come together to plan the wedding of their son and daughter (Ferrera). They have less than two weeks to accomplish this.

The film will start shooting next month in Los Angeles.
