Paramount Pictures has debuted the first trailer for the upcoming remake Footloose, which arrives in theaters across the country on October 14. Click on the video player below for your first look at stars Kenny Wormald and Julianne Hough strapping on their dancing shoes for Craig Brewer's remake.

Footloose was released October 14th, 2011 and stars Kenny Wormald, Julianne Hough, Dennis Quaid, Andie MacDowell, Miles Teller, Ray McKinnon, Patrick Flueger, Kim Dickens. The film is directed by Craig Brewer.

    I'm all for the original i loved Kevin Bacon as Kenny and John Lithgow as the preacher.. but look at the facts this movie does look silly and by the trailer i am not impressed. I expected more and i do not like how they are incorporating new age music into the film and another thing that pissed me off they did not even play the "footloose" song the movie is famous for .. if they want to bring back the original fans they better do something to change our minds quick this trailer did nothing

    Uhm, maybe? I can see some charm in this, but a lot of it looks too clean, and the whole "no public dancing" is really irrelevant today, so it's hard to buy it.

    And, that lead kid's Boston accent is hurtful.

    why why why why why copy the original. if you're gonna risk the farm on redoing a classic, at least put your own spin on it and make it new (versus adding a cliche hip hop "twist"). the only thing i liked about this version is showing the accident versus just talking about it. even that is not enough for me though...
