Focus Features Picks Up Hamlet 2
Steve Coogan stars in Hamlet 2 as a dramatic drama teacher who tries to revive the fading high-school theater department by staging a controversial sequel to the Shakespeare play 'Hamlet'. Along side Coogan, Catherine Kenner, David Arquette, Amy Poehler and Elizabeth Shue all have co-starring roles in the film.
A release date for Hamlet 2 has yet to be announced.
Hamlet 2 was released August 22nd, 2008 and stars Steve Coogan, Catherine Keener, Joseph Julian Soria, Skylar Astin, Phoebe Strole, Melonie Diaz, Arnie Pantoja, Michael Esparza. The film is directed by Andrew Fleming.

I agree with kennyvg. Who cares? Hamlet was a good play. What can possibly happen in a sequel? Everyone died in the play.
