and we do not hate this movie because it doesnt have blood and gore, we hate it because of how poorly they are made. Movies made for budgets over fifty million but take less than a year are always rushed. They wanted to make money while pattison and his queer friends still get girls going. It has nothing to do with gore. it has to do with terrible film making and the fact that some people get millions for doing nothing. any one can direct twighlight because it is a simple story with horrible special effects. A college student could easily edit this film on his macbook

hey emmytt... you write screen plays... that is so amazing... did you ever make one, or sell one or do you just keep them to yourself on your computer. yeah i had to write screen plays when i was in college too unfortuantely i dont like writing because my grammar is terrible and i find it tedious. my creativity comes in cinematography and gaffing work... you know camera and lights... the thing that gives all your gay pornos the pictures to show up on the computer.

Anyone can write, but it's those who tolerate criticism at any degree who are good at it.
I'm an author myself, with works being considered that run circles around these vampires.
It's not that I hate Twilight, but it could have been a lot better, just as Username said.
I happen to appreciate films without blood and gore, too, so don't see the need for that accusation.

@Emmytt: To expand on my previous comment, the idea of the Twilight saga is unique, but is half-assed with no real emotion. The creators of both the books and movies know their audience well, and spend little to no time executing what could be a good story, instead banking on the fact that woman go gaga for shirtless werewolves. It's a fact that everything in the Twilight movies are aimed at the hearts of teenage girls, from Edward's slow "Baywatch" walk at the beginning of New Moon to the shirtless werewolves. Don't kid yourself by thinking they actually give a sh*t about vampire/werewolf continuity.
But before you go awol on me, read my previous comment where I outline the good and bad of the series instead of irrationally spewing hate.
By the way, your grammar is terrible for someone who supposedly "writes screenplays" and just because you do that in your spare time doesn't make you good at it, or proves you know what you're talking about.

@insertusernamehere: Great post. Unlike most other people on this board who either have a boner for Twilight or have a boner for bashing it, you outline what you like and don't like about the project and don't come off looking like a moron.
I said it before when I saw the Eclipse trailer (keep in mind I know the basic plot from talking to people but I haven't read or seen anything in the series), "There are some interesting themes at work in this story, but the writing is just so bad."
And yeah, Taylor Lautner looks bad from what I've seen, but you should check him out in his stint hosting SNL. He actually does comedy really well.

well retard the reason the twighlight movie sucks isnt because they arent blood thirsty... its because they turn into bedazzled deuschebags everytime the sun goes down... that is why they hide themselves? and the CGI of the werewolves was childish and cheesy... my german shepherd is more intimidating than anything in the sh*tty as movie. Also, the dialogue is obvious and not creative. The fight scenes are all in slow motion which takes away from the emotion and power of the scene. And the director is obbsessed with using a circular dolly track to circle shots to emphasize time lapse and emotion. That is over used and not effective. it only makes little girls think you are a good cinematographer but if youve ever done any real film work and not just sit in your moms basement pounding mountain dew and jerking off to craiglist adds, you would understand the difference between good filmmaking and childs play .... thats for you emmytt.. you bash everyones post but you probably dont know sh*t about anything relating to film production, screenplay writing or adaptation or camera work... ass

vampires dont go out in the sun... that is the only internation rule of vampires other than that they have to drink some sort of blood to stay a vampire... that was even true of the lost boys... my favorite movie of all time.

How old are people like you? Don't you have spell check? If you don't, all ya have to do is Google the word...you obviously knew it was spelled wrong if you said you don't care if it's spelled wrong. Besides...who doesn't know how to spell clothes?
I read Twilight and saw New Moon, so I know what I'm talking about. The book is mediocre, only reaching out to teenage girls. The movie New Moon isn't much better, but it's good if you have an open mind...but far from great. The acting is mediocre(Taylor Lautner sucks, the rest are okay). Overall, I liked New Moon, and Twilight(the book) was better than expected, but neither book nor movie is anything to label great, especially if you've read actual masterpieces like Watchmen, To Kill A Mockingbird, or Of Mice or Men. The whole premise of the Twilight saga is unique, and I'm not going to bash girls for liking it...blood thirsty monsters will still exist...but understand something: they aren't masterpieces, and they never will be.
While I liked New Moon, I wasn't that "impressed" by Eclipse's trailer. New Moon at least had bright special effects and somewhat cool action scenes...Eclipse just looks depressing, all about the love triangle aspect which would be better to stomach if the acting was better.
