Like the 1941 original that starred Lon Chaney Jr., the new film will be set in Victorian England. Del Toro will play a man who returns from America to his ancestral homeland, gets bitten by a werewolf and begins a hairy moonlight existence.
The Wolf Man is currently filming and is eyeing a February 13, 2009 release date.
The Wolfman was released February 12th, 2010 and stars Simon Merrells, Gemma Whelan, Emily Blunt, Benicio Del Toro, Mario Marin-Borquez, Asa Butterfield, Cristina Contes, Anthony Hopkins. The film is directed by Joe Johnston.

I just read this really interesting article about "The Wolf Man"...& no wonder the make-up looks so f*cking good...it's done by the legend himself Rick Baker ( The first Academy Award for Best Make-Up was awarded to Baker for his work on "An American Werewolf in London")!!!
The makeup looks absolutely insane; especially in the second photo which creeps the living hell out of me!!!
