First Picture of The Dark Knight's Joker Revealed!

Warner Brothers has added a second site to their first The Dark Knight"I Believe in Harvey Dent" campaign page. If you click on ibelieveinharveydenttoo.com, the tarnished photo of Aaron Eckhart will slowly dissolve away to reveal the first glimpse of the film's villain, The Joker, played by Heath Ledger.

It's been a long time since Heath was announced as the Joker at last year's Comic Con. Now all you die hard Batman fans will finally get to see what the fuss was about.

In The Dark Knight, Batman raises the stakes in his war on crime. With the help of Lieutenant Jim Gordon and District Attorney Harvey Dent, Batman sets out to dismantle the remaining criminal organizations that plague the city streets. The partnership proves to be effective, but they soon find themselves prey to a reign of chaos unleashed by a rising criminal mastermind known to the terrified citizens of Gotham as The Joker.

As a follow up to last year's blockbuster Batman Begins, Christopher Nolan is set to direct Warner Bros. Pictures' The Dark Knight, written by Jonathan Nolan, based on a story by Christopher Nolan and David Goyer. The film will be produced by Emma Thomas, Charles Roven and Christopher Nolan.

The Dark Knight opens June 18th, 2008.

The Dark Knight was released July 18th, 2008 and stars Christian Bale, Heath Ledger, Aaron Eckhart, Michael Caine, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman, Monique Gabriela Curnen. The film is directed by Christopher Nolan.

It seems that Warner Bros. is doing great with the simple teasing of a firestorm on the net and has now taken down the image on http://www.ibelieveinharveydenttoo.com/.

It now, as you can see, says "Page not found" but highlight the page and notice all the laughter... plus, according to Super Hero Hype, there are random letters stuck in between all that--and it spells out "See you in December"

Great marketing they are pulling off.

Um... That would be Aaron Eckhart, not Ethan Hawke.

Seriously this is the wackiest Joker i've ever seen. He looks no where near scary but he grabs the oscar for looking like the most idiotic and stupiest villian ever. No one and i mean no one can beat Jack Nicholsan as the Joker he was a classic, the way he danced around the room shooting that guy in Batman, original and classic Joker moves.

But Ethan Hawke looks good as Harvey Dent aka 2-face. Please don't say they are gonna make 2-face look stuid as well. Fingers crossed.

This is very interesting and actually scary which is good because too many of this comic book films are becoming predictable. However, if you switched ou the text and said something like MORE IMAGES FROM ROB ZOMBIE'S HALLOWEEN, I think that could also work. So basically, I am excited yet at the same time scared and fearful as usual.

Joker looks very dark, and I never thought Heath Ledger would do a character like this, and I like the direction the Batman franchise is going.

Dude, I love it. Christopher Nolan really knows what he is doing with the Batman franchise, and I really trust the man. In fact, I would even let him look after my children if I had any.

Also, in that endless text of "ha ha ha ha" on the page there are some letters out of place. If you put them all together in order, they spell: "see YOu In DECeMbER"... Even more interesting

Go to the page and it says "Page Not Found" in red and the page is all black. BUT!!!, if you highlight the page, it's is completely covered with the text "Ha ha hA ha ha ha Ha ha hA ha ha ha HA ha ha Ha hA ha ha ha HA ha ha ha ha Ha ha"... Very interesting... And Puzzling.
