And regardless if you liked it or not, you still have the old films so why do you people bitch when you have 2 versions to choose from!?

I simply don't understand why people think he sucks lol. I've seen much worse films. For a new director, he's not bad. Definitely better director than any of us lol. If you want to be accurate, you should be attacking Uwe Boll who IS a f*ck up. That's a fact, not an opinion lol. I wasn't trying to attack you August, but I'm simply tired of sh*t talkers, so I will defend the people who are being attacked. If they have reasons to be defended, I will do so. Is that wrong? Being fair?
And to all the people who hated the Halloween remake, every person I've talked to about it in person being either at work or wherever when that movie came out, every person I asked them what they thought of it (cause they saw it in the theater and I had not), they said it was good. Then, month or so later I watched a sh*tty dvd screener of it at friends house. I thought it was just fine. Maybe it's because I never watched the old movies who knows but I watched it with no problems. I don't understand what the big deal is. It's not like he f*cked up everything like the people who made Doom did.

Meh whatever Rob Zombies done what 4 films altogether and you're already calling him a hack? Wait at least till he has somewhat of an extensive film resume because as it stands right now he has two original films and two remakes so i guess that makes him half a hack to you. Do you think John Carpenter is a hack to he made a remake? What about Steven Speilberg he made a remake too? Oh and Rob Zombie worst director ever???WTF ever hear of Ed Wood, Uwe Boll, Jim Issac, McG, or Steve Carr? Trust me there are far worse directors in fact you could probably throw Tyler Perry in the mix too.

Cover your eyes, kids!...but Rob Zombie is a hack & money hungry Hollywood *sshole...He used to be so "cutting edge" W./"House of 1000 Corpses" 2005's "The Devil's Rejects".....BUT NOW ROB ZOMBIE IS NOTHING BUT A GREASY CLOG IN THE HOLLYWOOD MACHINE...or a better word a lackey!
His Remake of "Halloween" was 1 of the "Worst" films of 2007! It should have been giving every Razzie Award that year..Incld Worst Director, Worst Picture & Worst Actress Scout Taylor-Compton, & Worst Supporting Actress Sheri Moon Zombie! (Lord my dead grandmother could act better than she can!!)
Halloween (2007) failed to deliver on the suspense; I also felt that you could not tell one teenage character from the next, whereas in Carpenter's 1978 original each teenager had real personalities.
SAD, IN THESE TOUGH ECONOMIC TIMES THAT HOLLYWOOD HAS TO WASTE MONEY $$$ ON A FILM SEQUEL THAT ALREADY HAS BEEN MADE BACK IN THE LATE 80'S...A REMAKE OF A SEQUEL OF A SEQUEL! ...LOL...ROFL.. VERY INANE!

But to be honest, when you compare the remake to a film like "Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning," it wasn't gory. And to be even MOORE honest, it wasn't really even gory at all. I just watched it the other night, and aside from the blood that was needed to make the kills look realistic, there wasn't that much blood. At the end when Laurie's face is covered in blood... Well, you'd be that bloody if you fell into an empty pool, out of a ceiling, and then off of a balcony. However, a lot of the blood on her face was Michael's anyway. There is going to be a bit of blood when you get shot in the face with a magnum, you know.

Weird pic. But aside that, I am really anticipating this movie. Zombie's last film was my favorite out of all the Halloween films!

I agree Vis. Rob did show me great passion in else direction of this. But still not good. Yeah, the gore was too much. In fact, Myers is not a gory guy at all. He's like the cool professional killer who doesn't leave that many traces. It's that dumbass Jason who leaves bloody messes. Actually the backstory part i did enjoy. It was that section where he was remaking the original one, where it got on my nerves. I'll wait til the sequel comes on the internet, because there's no way i'm gonna see this in theaters or dvd.

The only movie I've seen of Rob Zombie's is Halloween. You can tell he was passionate about it and that he actually put more effort into it than most remakes. I just didn't like it because gore isn't scary. I've come to like it more since I wrote my review of it where I bashed the hell out of it, though lol It was after all a remake, and in THAT fashion, he made a fairly suitable re-telling of Michael Myers, even if he did focus on the backstory a lil too much. Hopefully the sequel won't have too many flashbacks. It's def. not on my anticipated list, though, and I couldn't give a sh*t if I see it in theaters. I watched the last one on line, that's most likely what I'll do with this one

August22 doesn't know her ass. Chad her ass you mean. I'm a f*cking girl. Ah poor baby, is it that difficult for you in real life to tell the difference between a man and a woman. Btw, Vamp i hope you didn't take offense. I wasn't trying to fight with you just a little debate, that's all, but Chad what the f*ck. I never did anything insulting to you and hear come your dumbass with this sh*t. I didn't like Devil Rejects. I thought it wasn't good at all in my opinion. But i'll give him this, it was the closest thing to original that he has gotten in directing. The other sh*t he's made is pure rip offs.

Lol well apparantly then August22 doesn't know his ass from his face. You are saying he is better than Uwe Boll? And it's safe to say you didn't like The Devil's Rejects? I personally thought that movie was a great slasher/horror movie, probably one of most intense I've seen.

I'm not hating on Zombie he's just not a good director to me, in fact the worst director ever in my opinion.

August: Zombie is an excellent director, and the last "Halloween" movie that he did was awesome. I dunno why you people have to hate on him.

This is going to be bullsh*t, just like the first dumbass sh*t. Zombie give your directing hat up, you movie ideas stealing basterd. It's okay when tarantino uses the ideas because he's actually contributing to those movies, but this motherf*cker just does it for his own personal gain. The day he gets an award for best director is the day zombies walk the earth.

Nice looks like a solid kickass horror film. Rob Zombie despite what others may think is a really great horror director blends realism and surrealism very well i think. Oh and as was stated by vamp many comments below Cannibal Corpse does suck

Maybe it takes place after the UNRATED version on the first one, she got more beat up in the end of that one before she shot Michael. That also could be Michael's blood all over her.

Pretty sure it's at the start of the film. Click on the pic and it'll come up to next page where it says, "Laurie Strode after being wheel in to the ER".
I'm stickin' with I liked the first one because Zombie went more in depth with Mike's childhood. I'll see this one, but I'll hold judgement until after I see it. Kind takes away any realism the first one had... the whole bringing him back with his ass full of lead poisoning.
