First Look at Where the Wild Things Are!

Here is the first photo from Spike Jonze's upcoming adaptation of the children's book Where the Wild Things Are. It showed up on MTV Blogs a short while ago.

The picture was taken at a licensing show in New York City. Where the Wild Things Are opens on October 3rd, 2008.

Where the Wild Things Are was released October 16th, 2009 and stars Max Records, Pepita Emmerichs, Max Pfeifer, Madeleine Greaves, Joshua Jay, Ryan Corr, Catherine Keener, Steve Mouzakis. The film is directed by Spike Jonze.

    yeah it was about time they showed another picture about this movie I remeber that when my teacher use to read this book to us in class this is the first book I read to my 6 month's old son I loved this movie he loves it and I look forworth to check anything on the next I check at least 2 times a week and benicio and james is doing this film there my best fav actors and I heard tom hanks will produce it's going to awsome if anybody in the net knows how to contact this guy's or anybody in the film e-mail me supermanrch@yahoo.com to get my son an autograph picture because is hard to even e-mail these guys or contact the studio

    spike jonze is a pretty reliable director, but if corporate hollywood sinks their nails into him then expect a pg kids movie.

    i do enjoy the idea of it being a dark tale along the lines of pans labyrinth though there's money to be made and marketing to be had.

    I think the key to making this move appropriate will be all about imagery. I didn't think the original story was really long enough to stretch out to the length of a feature film, but apparently you can adapt anything into a movie these days. I guess we'll have to wait for a trailer.
