It looks like Daeg Faerch has been replaced by Chase Vanek. Here is what writer/director Rob Zombie had to say:
Here he is for the first time Chase Vanek the new young Michael Myers," Zombie writes. "Chase has been kicking ass on set and we are sure you will love him as much as we do. Chase's favorite question to ask me is "When do I get to kill someone?" Kind of reminds me of another young Michael I used to know."
Shooting is currently underway in Georgia on the Dimension Extreme-produced project. A release date of August 28th has been set.
Halloween II was released August 28th, 2009 and stars Sheri Moon Zombie, Chase Wright Vanek, Scout Taylor-Compton, Brad Dourif, Caroline Williams, Malcolm McDowell, Tyler Mane, Dayton Callie. The film is directed by Rob Zombie.

If Daeg Farch or whatever his name is is still listed on the cast list for H2 as of an April 13th story, then why's this kid replacing him?? He looks to be the same age as Daeg, and they could get away with making Daeg look either younger or older.

I was an extra for H2 a few weeks back. IT was a scene where Dr. Loomis is at a book signing for his book "The Devil walks among us." I saw Zombie and McDowel. The scene is about a victim's father (from the first movie) pulls a gun on Loomis and they have to drag him out of the store, while some nut screams about the apocalypse. I had a blast, I had a chance to go a for a another scene but I had to work.
I don't see how people say he ruined this franchise. I didn't like how he gave Michael motivation but everything else he held true right down some of the same shots from the original which goes to show the original influenced him.
