The drama revolves around a lone hero who fights his way across the wasteland of post-apocalyptic America. He's the protector of a sacred book that may hold the key to saving humanity.

The Book of Eli hits theaters January 15th, 2010 and stars Denzel Washington, Gary Oldman, Mila Kunis, Ray Stevenson, Jennifer Beals and Evan Jones.

    Denzel knows Kung-Fu... do you? hahaha i agree with absolute - fight scenes seemed out of place, but then again they would with no context. i'm in! i can't wait to see this! i usually hate post-apocalyptic films, but the cinematography and storyline (what little there is, so far) are intriguing!

    Trailer was good...but the fight scene didn't seem to fit with the film...he seemed too sure of himself, no struggle...unless there is some reason why it was so easy for him I dunno. I'd rather it look brutal and rough, despite the choreography it is possible to make it look like a struggle.

    Looks awesome. I didn't like his voice over. It sounded a bit weird. However, I am sooo awaiting this, and won't judge until opening day.

    This is the WB's answer to "The Road" I suspect. The only thing that I like about this is Gary Oldman taking a villian role, it's been far to long since his last. Otherwise Denzel has only three gears that he cycles through depending on the role, passive aggressive - Inside Man, aggressive - Training Day and silently psychotic - Man on Fire. I'm pretty sure this is going to be somewhere around silently psychotic.

    There is no denying Denzel's ability to play a bad ass (see Man On Fire for more information); toss in Gary Oldman, and I foresee a great film.

    But this trailer doesn't bring the chills that I expected. So my new verdict: Mediocre.
