The site also pointed to a report from MTV from last April, that could lead one to believe that this really could be a new design for the Turtles.
"The basic idea, as I understand it, is to do an all live action shoot, with actors and stuntmen in full Turtle suits," said Laird. "To add expressiveness to the Turtles' faces which would be difficult if not impossible to get with animatronics and/or puppetry, there would be 'face replacement,' with CGI Turtle faces superimposed on the live action performers' heads."
We'll be sure to keep you posted on any and all details of this new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film as soon as we have more information.
Ninja Turtles comes to theaters December 25th, 2013. The film is directed by Jonathan Liebesman.

I'm glad they are making a tmnt remake....but,this new version of michengelo looks horrible.Looks like he on he's on f*cking meth or crack or whatever the f*ck that makes your f*cking spine show.He looks more relastic than a f*cking mutant!!!!!!!.But, good luck to the movie.Let this one have blood,and gore in it like the comics but no profiantly

Love the practical stuff. I've always loved the live action turtles, and this looks very cool. I wonder if they will have Corey Feldman back and Ernie Reeves Jr? And bring back April!
And Casey Jones got so old. He got his arm freakin' blown off in "Shooter"!
I hope they don't make something stupid and screw it up. The newer incarnations, have the turtles in the future. I wonder if they will go with that. I guess the CGI heads wouldn't be bad, as long as they look real. We'll see. They could at least make Splinter Animatronic. Funny that they did all that texture/paint and they're going to CGI over it. Somewhere there's a spray paint artist weeping silently.
Loved that little puppet rat in the cage doing the martial arts in the original!
I think that the orange mask is Donatello. I could be wrong though.

If they stuck with the original Turtle design it would look too similar to the old movies. The whole point of updating it is to, well, update it. Again, I love the detail, and I think it looks mutant enough...really, it's probably the most mutated thing I've seen in a while lol
