the movie is already sweet seth rogen is a good actor, yeah he may be known for his comedic roles but i feel that he put a lot into the making this film and is not just going to let it be a "comedy/action" movie but a "action with a little sarcastic humor" like the green hornet was in the comics.

Jay Chou also has some major expectations to fill. Not only is he stepping into a role made pretty iconic by Bruce Lee, but he was a last minute replacement for the popular star and director Stephen Chow.
The only thing "Green Hornet" has going for it is: Christoph Waltz in his first major post-Basterds appearance!

He's incompetent in the beginning, I'll give you that but if you knew a thing about screenwriting his character is going to change. It's pretty simple. If he doesn't change and is the same incompetent character through out the movie then that's just bad screenwriting. Though characters don't always have to change but it's a safe bet he will.
