Well I have not read the book, but the writer did do a prequal for the movie too. It was extremly well. I love the cartoon when I was a kid, but the phrase: YO JOES!, isn't it a bit much for a "secret" military force to say before battle? They said it in the book so I gess they will do it in the movie too. But the set up plot for movie in the book was great. They had pulse rifle tech to hunt down, and the "super soldiers" that cobra was making, but in the book they didn't know who was making th guns or the super soldier serum. The Serum didn't realy make them like captian america, but fearless. They would stand still and take a bullit with out fear or pain, so. I am wondering alot on who all will be in it from the bad guys side, couse we pretty much know the good guys. Destro, Baroness, Storm Shadow, yes, and even CC at the later end will come out from rumors, but what about the twins, Dartanon and his biker gang????
The only down side from the previews is those armor suits. So we shall see ...

Are we actually sure that is Cobra Commander and NOT the doctor in the photos Draktyr?? I am not convinced that was him, plus this movie seems to be focusing on the core of the GI Joe coming together and stopping Destro, as CC involvement comes at the last 30-40 min of the movie is my guess.
2 hour purely based on getting the viewers to know who the GI Joe are, and Destro/Baroness and Storm Shadow`s involvement in taking over the world, the title Rise of Cobra suggests something for the end for his appearance and then a sequel
