Seen by many fans as something of an antidote to the broader passions of the Twilight series, the original 2008 film is a delicately told preteen horror-romance revolving around a lonely 12-year-old boy who discovers that the sweet, shy girl next door he has become smitten with is also a vampire.
Let Me In was released October 1st, 2010 and stars Kodi Smit-McPhee, Chloe Moretz, Richard Jenkins, Cara Buono, Elias Koteas, Sasha Barrese, Jimmy Pinchak, Chris Browning. The film is directed by Matt Reeves.

The Narrator: The Better Man
Well, I think the original was amazing in its own little way. Very haunting in Oskar's innocence and curiosity and loneliness... and just the feel of the movie was cold. I enjoyed it very much on a personal level.
As for this remake, its looking okay, from what little we've seen, but still, remakes these days don't go too well, especially with it being this soon etc. And on top of that it's an somewhat big budget adaption of a foreign somewhat independent film... it's risky. But it could work.

I just notice something from looking at the photo that they did in the original film but did not do here and that is make the vampire chick walk around outside in the snow with no coat and shoes on.

Well to me they could make this film just like the original frame by frame but it still want match up to the original. The reason why I say that is because atmosphere and most importantly the actors. Its hard to convert a foreign film into a North American film. I just do not see anyone being able to out-stage the actress that played the vampire chick in the original. The chick was just strange she was like a adult in a child's body the way her face and stuff look she was just creepy. Then the shock value of see a young kid brutally kill someone will not be the same because of what we got to see from Chloe Moretz when she was playing hit girl(I mean you cannot get more brutal than that). Who knows maybe this film could turn out to be a good remake, if not we still have the original lol

I second that notion (Insert Name Here), and may I add, are you retarded TheFilmFanatic? Every thing you mentioned in your comment is complete garbage. If you think the camera work is bad and there's no tension, I'm wondering if you weren't watching Twilight instead and got confused some how. If the original is everything you said then it wouldn't be the cherished piece of cinema it is today. There wouldn't be some *sshole trying to remake it less than a year from its release. And there wouldn't be fans defending it's integrity and sh*tting on this bullsh*t remake, so in other words go f*ck your self.

You can't tell if this film has "style and feel" just from these goddamn photos, or if it looks "bloody amazing" for that matter. The movie was exceptional.
Learn how to f*cking spell and stop reviewing movies because you don't know jack sh*t. I swear to God, do you look at the keyboard or your screen when you type, or are you just staring at the ceiling hoping you're making sense? It's to the point where I think you do it on purpose, which is pathetic, because I can't imagine someone with that bad of grammar unless they're an elementary school student or mentally challenged.
Stop being a stubborn *sshole and accept the fact that you suck at writing and should just stop altogether.

i read the book, from here it is close by image, alsi Let The Right One In kept the book lcose, but altogether the film did not have tension, or drive, or a good camera oparator or feel to the film, so in words it was sh*t, here it has a style and feel, looks bloody amazing

Moovy
I saw "Let the Right One In". The story line was the only thing interesting. I would not be interested in seeing this "new" version in such a short time frame.
