Black Eyed Peas songstress Fergie has signed onto yet another movie hoping to build her filmography into something better than just Poseidon. According to Variety, the genius behind My Humps has come aboard Rob Marshall's upcoming musical Nine.

Fergie will be joining a cast that includes such heavy hitters as Daniel Day-Lewis, Marion Cottilard, Penelope Cruz, Kate Hudson, Nicole Kidman, Sophia Loren and Judi Dench. The singer will play Saraghina, a sexy nymph that brings Daniel Day-Lewis' character into the world of sexuality.

Nine will go before the camera in October. Shooting is set to take place in the U.K.

Nine was released December 18th, 2009 and stars Daniel Day-Lewis, Marion Cotillard, Penélope Cruz, Nicole Kidman, Judi Dench, Kate Hudson, Sophia Loren, Stacy Ferguson. The film is directed by Rob Marshall.
