F. Gary Gray could be set to abide. According to Variety, director F. Gary Gray is in negotiations to direct Law Abiding Citizen. The director would replace Frank Darabont, who recently left the project.

Gray was in negotiations to direct Armored, which stars Eric Bana, but since Law Abiding Citizen, which stars Gerard Butler and Jamie Foxx, is slated for a December production start, another director will likely be needed for Armored.

Law Abiding Citizen centers on Butler's character, a lawyer who becomes involved in a dangerous game hatched by a victim of the legal system. Kurt Wimmer and Darabont wrote the script.

Law Abiding Citizen was released October 16th, 2009 and stars Jamie Foxx, Gerard Butler, Colm Meaney, Bruce McGill, Leslie Bibb, Michael Irby, Gregory Itzin, Regina Hall. The film is directed by F. Gary Gray.
