The film is based on Robert E. Howard's mythical conqueror Conan The Barbarian. The new version is expected to be more faithful to Howard's original creation than were the Arnold Schwarzenegger films.
Conan the Barbarian was released August 19th, 2011 and stars Jason Momoa, Stephen Lang, Rachel Nichols, Ron Perlman, Rose McGowan, Bob Sapp, Leo Howard, Steven O'Donnell. The film is directed by Marcus Nispel.

LOL!
Oh no I am being attacked by the Movie Web mafia!!!!!!!!!!
'ELITE' user.
and
'Calling them ALL names' Just gave a 'name' to one person, like you just did to.
I come here all the time I am just not so useless that I think I need to make my 'voice' heard about every little thing. Go ahead and love you little opinionated life regarding Not Real Things = MOVIES. Movies are for fun, not for you to spend your life (and a worthless one it must be) commenting on every move some director, actor, or any other ENTERTAINMENT related person does.
p.s. Check out my HOT av!!!!!!!! Since that seems to make a person more important as well!

@Narrator, thanks bud.
@darthboromir You are obviously just another douchebag user who nobody is going to like on this site and who can't even put up an av. I wouldn't suggest calling out the top elite users of a website when you first sign up and calling them all names. We've been here a long time, buddy, and we didn't get to be the most popular by signing up and then going around calling everybody idiots.

The Narrator: The Better Man
@darthboromir is obviously just another arrogant, knowledge-less "user" on this site. No worries @CBF, us veterans and useful users know how to go about doing things. As for the nudity, there is absolutely nothing special or devilish about them. Reality. Nuff said.

Thanks, guys. I totally went off-topic from Conan but oh well. For some reason that "be warned" line got me going.

How long have you even been registered here? Probably not long considering you would know who I am by now.

@Udjet...good point, im just saying the idea and story for the Kull movie was intended to be Conan 3, but Arnie didnt want to do another film, so it went on to be a Kull movie instead
2 years agoby @bane5000Flag
Udjet
Kull is actually older than Conan since he was created by Robert E. Howard first. Conan was actually the creation of a rejected Kull story.

If anything, showing a bit of nudity adds to the barbarianism I'm sure they are trying to capture, therefore I see absolutely nothing wrong with it.

I still find it funny how the Kull the Conqueror movie with Kevin Sorbo was originally intended to be the third Conan movie, but Arnold refused to reprise his role so they changed Conan to Kull and gave it to Sorbo...true story my friends :]

The 80s version was terrible, ARNOLD hold man hands up truthful was terrible, but he was starting off, and he got back on the top of his game

@insert, that's a good way of putting how this relates to Arnold's. I just don't know that Momoa will have the same sort of presence as Arnold. Oh well, I hope for the best from this.

Lol topless females never hurt anyone. Seriously, it's funny how parents hide nudity from their kids like even into their teens it's ridiculous. Like what is so dangerous, what are kids going to do when they see a woman's nipple? They are not going to run off and start mass murdering people, at the most they might have some questions. Oooooh... So it's the parents then that want to avoid "talks" with their children. Our society is seriously messed up. My dad wouldn't let me watch Rated R movies when I was 16. I heard and saw worse things in my school halls, I mean give me a break. I can totally understand if it has language or violence that stuff may not be suitable for kids... but I can't understand the nudity thing. If there's strong sexual content OK that is a different thing. But just brief nudity? That is like a guy's or woman's butt or flash of a breast and nipple, I mean come on. In the UK they show nudity in their commercials, the US and some other countries are so freakin' censored it's outrageous. Maybe kids want to know about that sh*t before they find their dad's porn stash, you know?

Why is t*ts censored? From now on, I'll refer to t*ts as tater tots. See what you can do to me now, internet!

yeah this movie looks interesting. i'm looking forward to it. i always wondered why it took them so long to make another one. i remember a rumor that they were going to make one with the rock as conan but i guess that didnt work out.
oh and i hated the arnold conan movies. those were really bad. i'm glad they're going in a different direction here.

You don't call Nolan's Batman Begins a remake of Burton's Batman. Think of it that way.

This isn't a remake of Arnolds its more faithful to the books. I actually think this will be good.
