EXCLUSIVE: Will Arnett Says Arrested Development: The Movie Is Happening

Movie Picture
This past Friday, I met up with the gang behind Will Farrell's new comedy Semi-Pro. While those exclusive video interviews will be coming to you soon, I did ask a couple of the guys about some highly anticipated projects coming our way. First, I hit Will Arnett up about the much talked about Arrested Development movie. He seems quite optimistic that this will definitely be happening.

The actor stated, "It's a long way from the lip to the cup, but yes, I do think an Arrested Development movie is going to happen sometime in the near future. It is hard to say when because a script needs to be written. With the strike over, it is looking more optimist. It certainly has been talked about recently. I'm on board. I think everyone wants to come back. "

I also hit Woody Harrelson up about his participation in The A-Team. It is well known that John Singleton wants Woody to play Murdoch in the film. The actor said, "There haven't been any official meetings yet. But the script is looking really good. All things considered...Would I do it? Yes. John Singleton is one of the best directors around today, and it would be an honor to work with him."

Semi-Pro opens February 29th, 2008.

Semi-Pro was released February 29th, 2008 and stars Will Ferrell, Woody Harrelson, André Benjamin, Maura Tierney, Andrew Daly, Will Arnett, Andy Richter, David Koechner. The film is directed by Kent Alterman.

The A-Team was released June 11th, 2010 and stars Liam Neeson, Bradley Cooper, Jessica Biel, Quinton Jackson, Sharlto Copley, Patrick Wilson, Gerald McRaney, Henry Czerny. The film is directed by Joe Carnahan.

thanks "err2005",, and because of the American taste in things (not all americans, i know some of you have good taste) we didn't get the grindhouse feature!! instead we got 2 seperate movie releases and that totally ruined the whole idea of it!!! therefore we didn't get the full experience that Tarantino+Rodriguez were trying to give us!!!

why is it America "never" gets the humour in these type of shows? you got Arrested Development,Family guy and The Tick (live action series) cancelled!! all 3 funny as hell! yes maybe they brought them back after a while but i can't believe they got cancelled in the first place!!

I just hope that if there is a movie that it stands out from the rest of the TV-to-big-screen adaptations. Despite the show coming and going, I still like Arrested Development.
