Exclusive: Viggo Mortensen Interview
Exclusive: Vincent Cassel Interview
Exclusive: David Cronenberg
Viggo Mortensen and director David Cronenberg struck cinematic paydirt with their first collaboration, A History of Violence. They've surpassed that film with the shocking and provocative Eastern Promises, an incredibly dark crime drama about sex slavery. A fourteen year old prostitute dies in childbirth, but leaves behind a diary of her tormented life. Mortensen stars as Nikolai, a driver/henchman in London's ruthless Russian mafia, who's instructed by his captain (Vincent Cassel) to retrieve the diary at all costs. There's a major plot twist in the film, so be sure to go in cold. I'd be surprised if all the principles didn't receive Oscar nominations. Cronenberg has made his best film here.
Eastern Promises was released September 14th, 2007 and stars Josef Altin, Mina E. Mina, Aleksander Mikic, Sarah-Jeanne Labrosse, Lalita Ahmed, Badi Uzzaman, Naomi Watts, Doña Croll. The film is directed by David Cronenberg.

SWEET!!! Cronenberg is fantastic director. Not a single one of his films disapointed me. Well, I've only seen A History of Violence and Videodrome, but they were amazing!
