EXCLUSIVE VIDEO: We Visit the Set of Stargate: Atlantis Season Five

On July 11th, 2008, the fifth season of the popular sci-fi show Stargate: Atlantis will premier on the SciFi Channel. We recently visited the Vancouver based set for a look at what we can expect, and also for exclusive on-set interviews with the cast. We were able to speak with new series regulars Robert Picardo (Richard Woolsey) and Jewel Staite (Dr. Jennifer Keller), as well as returning cast members Rachel Luttrell (Teyla Emmagan), David Hewlett (Dr. Rodney McKay), and Jason Momoa (Ronon Dex). We were also able to tour the sets, get a look at the special effects, and partake in a stunt demonstration with James "Bam Bam" Bamford. The mission of these people is to explore a new galaxy the humans got access to.

(And the background music is still annoying)

Picardo as an action hero? I definately don't see that happening. I would however like to get rid of Ronan's dreads.

INDEED it is! You'll have many hours of great entertainment. I mean a series of one-hour-episodes that lasted 10 seasons and is being continued in movies has to be good! :P These are my favorite series and have been for many years, it is sooooo worth renting/owning/watching :).

Agreed. You should watch SG-1 as well. SG-1 and Atlantis are two of my favorites. The original Stargate movie is good as well. Its actually one of my wife's favorites and she's not a real Sci-Fi fan.

Great series, I enjoy every minute. Word of advice to Michelo, watch Stargate SG-1 as well (also the movie if you haven't seen it), because there is alot of cross over between the 2 series'.

What is the mission of these people. I'm not a Sci Fi nut but I'm looking for a series to get into. Is it worth renting?
