EXCLUSIVE VIDEO: Wayne Wang and Henry O Wish Us A Thousand Years of Good Prayers

In Wayne Wang's latest film A Thousand Years of Good Prayers, retired widower Mr. Shi (played by the wonderful Henry O), comes to the United States to help his only daughter through a divorce. His intentions to save her marriage and help her reconstruct her life are in direct conflict with her desire to move on. When Mr. Shi persists, Yilan retreats. The ongoing struggle between this father and daughter duo leads to revelations that Mr. Shi has never been prepared to face and a confrontation that forces both of them to accept the other and to understand their choices. Last week, we met up with director Wayne Wang and his leading man Henry O for an in-depth discussion about this stirring family drama.
