On hand to discuss their involvement in the film were actors Khalid Abdalla and Homayoun Ershadi, along with director Marc Forster and novelist Khaled Hosseini. The Kite Runner was released December 14th, 2007 and stars Khalid Abdalla, Atossa Leoni, Shaun Toub, Sayed Jafar Masihullah Gharibzada, Zekeria Ebrahimi, Ahmad Khan Mahmoodzada, Mir Mahmood Shah Hashimi, Homayoun Ershadi. The film is directed by Marc Forster.
