Director John Lee Hancock is an expert at bringing true stories to the big screen and has a special knack for adapting the real-life tales of professional athletes. With the exception of his film The Alamo, both of Hancock's other two feature films, The Rookie based on High School coach turned Major League Baseball pitcher Jim Morris and now The Blind Side, opening on November 20th, are based on real-life inspirational sports figures. The latter is the true story of NFL offensive lineman Michael Oher, his troubled childhood, his hard journey to the NFL and the one family that adopted him, and in doing so saved him and gave him hope. Sandra Bullock and Tim McGraw star as Leigh Anne and Sean Tuohy, the upper class Tennessee family that adopted the future NFL player and newcomer Quinton Aaron gives a career making performance as Michael Oher. We recently had a chance to speak with Sandra Bullock, who gives an award worthy performance, Tim McGraw, Quinton Aaron and the real Leigh Anne Tuohy about the film, the Tuohy's story, Michael Oher's career and Aaron's remarkable performance. In football, as in life, the value we place on people changes with the rules of the games they play.
