EXCLUSIVE VIDEO: Miley Cyrus Sings The Last Song

Actress/singer Miley Cyrus is one of the most popular and beloved entertainers in the world. At just the young age of seventeen Cyrus has already been entertaining audiences with her successful Disney Channel series Hannah Montana and subsequent hit albums since 2006, but it wasn't until she was featured as the lead voice in the CG animated film Bolt, along with her spin-off film Hannah Montana: The Movie, that her film career really began to take off. Now Cyrus attempts to move from the comedy and musical genre over to dramas with her new coming-of-age film The Last Song, opening in theaters on March 31st. The film is based on best-selling author Nicholas Sparks' (The Notebook) forthcoming novel co-starring Oscar nominee Greg Kinnear, Kelly Preston and Liam Hemsworth. We recently had a chance to sit down and talk with Miley Cyrus, her co-stars Kelly Preston and Liam Hemsworth, the film's director Julie Anne Robinson and the novel's author Nicholas Sparks about the film, the characters and the book that it is based on. Based on best-selling novelist Nicholas Sparks' (The Notebook) forthcoming novel, The Last Song is set in a small Southern beach town where an estranged father (Greg Kinnear) gets a chance to spend the summer with his reluctant teenaged daughter (Cyrus), who'd rather be home in New York. He tries to reconnect with her through the only thing they have in common, music, in a story of family, friendship, secrets and salvation, along with first loves and second chances. Starring Miley Cyrus, Greg Kinnear, Kelly Preston, Liam Hemsworth, Bobby Coleman and Nick Searcy. Directed by Julie Anne Robinson, The Last Song begins playing in theaters on March 31st.

The Last Song was released March 31st, 2010 and stars Miley Cyrus, Greg Kinnear, Bobby Coleman, Liam Hemsworth, Hallock Beals, Kelly Preston, Stephanie Leigh Schlund, Nick Searcy. The film is directed by Julie Anne Robinson.

    I will never understand the appeal of this girl...she can't act, her singing is so heavily modified it sounds like every other pop star, and when she actually does talk it sounds like she's constantly trying to talk over a retainer or something. Plus her show/her only claim to fame, based on what I know of it, has a terrible message. I mean it basically says to be accepted you need to be someone else, specifically someone with blond hair and blue eyes. Yeash if I had a kid they'd be nowhere near this crap.
