EXCLUSIVE VIDEO: James McAvoy Talks X-Men: First Class

X-Men: First Class opened in theaters across the country on June 3, taking in a healthy $56 million and proving the mutant franchise is still a viable one at the box office. The story takes us back to the inception of Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters, with Charles Xavier (James McAvoy) and his then-friend Erik Lensherr (Michael Fassbender) finding their first crop of young mutants. Although a sequel hasn't been officially announced, X-Men: First Class is likely the first in a new superhero franchise for Marvel and 20th Century Fox, with a seemingly endless amount of characters who could be introduced.

I recently had the privilege of speaking with James McAvoy about X-Men: First Class, and how he would like to see Charles Xavier and the rest of the series evolve from here on out. Click on the video player below to see what he has to say about X-Men: First Class and beyond.

X-Men: First Class was released June 3rd, 2011 and stars James McAvoy, Laurence Belcher, Michael Fassbender, Bill Milner, Kevin Bacon, Rose Byrne, Jennifer Lawrence, Beth Goddard. The film is directed by Matthew Vaughn.
