EXCLUSIVE VIDEO: Emily Mortimer Meets Harry Brown

British actress Emily Mortimer first gain noticed in the states for her roles in the films Disney's The Kid opposite Bruce Willis and Formula 51 with Samuel L. Jackson but it was her role in Woody Allen's Match Point that made her popular with fans and critics alike. Since then the actress has worked with some of the most talented people in the business and appeared in a wide array of different films including David Mamet's Red Belt, The Pink Panther with Steve Martin, Lars And The Real Girl with Ryan Gosling and most recently, City Island with Andy Garcia and Martin Scorsese's Shutter Island. Now the actress can add another extremely talented name to that list as she stars opposite legendary British actor and two-time Oscar winner Michael Caine in the new vigilante crime thriller Harry Brown, opening in theaters on April 30th. In the film, Caine stars as Harry Brown, a recent widower with nothing to loose who wages war on the once peaceful but now violent English community that he lives in. Mortimer plays a police officer investigating the recent deaths of known criminals and begins to suspect Brown of vigilante justice. We recently had an opportunity to sit down and speak with actress Emily Mortimer about the new film, her character, working with the great Michael Caine and the real-life English youth crime that is depicted in the film. Set in modern day Britain, Harry Brown follows one man's journey through a chaotic world where teenage violence runs rampant. As a modest, law abiding citizen, Brown (Michael Caine), a recent widower, lives alone. His only companion is his best friend Leonard. When Leonard is killed by the local youth, Brown reaches his breaking point and wages a one-man war on the underworld community in an attempt to take back his neighborhood and gain justice for his friend's death. Detective Inspector Alice Frampton (Mortimer) is the only one who suspects Brown is secretly cleaning up the streets and desperately wants to stop him before he kills anyone else, or gets killed himself.

Harry Brown was released April 30th, 2010 and stars Michael Caine, Emily Mortimer, Charlie Creed-Miles, David Bradley, Iain Glen, Sean Harris, Ben Drew, Jack O'Connell. The film is directed by Daniel Barber.
