EXCLUSIVE VIDEO: Easy A Cast Interviews
Emma Stone is one of the most popular young actresses working in Hollywood today! She first gained attention appearing opposite Jonah Hill in the 2007 hit comedy Superbad. But it was last year's action-comedy Zombieland that really put her on the map as a bankable movie star. Her career seems to be getting even hotter with her leading role in the buzz-worthy new high school film Easy A, opening in theaters on September 17th. In the comedy Stone plays an otherwise average high school student who finds brand new popularity when she accidentally starts a rumor that she has lost her virginity. The movie is actually a throwback to the classic high school pictures of the 1980s, like Can't Buy Me Love, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, The Breakfast Club and Say Anything. It, in fact, even pays tribute to those movies within the movie. We recently had a chance to sit down with members of the cast, including Emma Stone, Stanley Tucci and Penn Badgley to talk about the new film, their roles, and the movie's classic '80s film references. To watch our exclusive interview please click on the video clip below.
After a little white lie about losing her virginity gets out, a clean cut high school girl (Emma Stone) sees her life paralleling Hester Prynne's in "The Scarlet Letter," which she is currently studying in school, until she decides to use the rumor mill to advance her social and financial standing.Easy A was released September 17th, 2010 and stars Emma Stone, Penn Badgley, Amanda Bynes, Dan Byrd, Thomas Haden Church, Patricia Clarkson, Cam Gigandet, Lisa Kudrow. The film is directed by Will Gluck.
