Colin Firth stars as British author Blake Morrison in the film adaptation of his novel, When Did You Last See Your Father? Arthur Morrison, played superbly by Jim Broadbent, overshadowed and embarrassed his son throughout his formative years. He grew bitter and resented his father over time. But as Arthur lay dying, Blake faces a family secret with a new understanding, and realizes how deeply he will miss his father.
