At the very young age of twenty-five, actress Carey Mulligan has already been nominated for an Academy Award and cemented herself as one of the top actresses of her generation. She first gained international attention last year for her Oscar nominated role in the coming-of-age drama An Education. Since then she has appeared in a string of high profile films including Brothers starring Natalie Portman and Tobey Maguire, The Greatest with Pierce Brosnan and most recently in Mark Romanek's critically acclaimed Never Let Me Go opposite Keira Knightley. Now the actress can be seen once again on the big screen, this time playing Oscar winner Michael Douglas's legendary screen character, Gordon Gekko's daughter in the long-awaited sequel to director Oliver Stone's iconic '80s movie Wall Street, Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps, which opens in theaters on September 24th. We recently had a chance to sit down and speak with Carey Mulligan about the new movie, her role, the legacy of Gordon Gekko, the real-life situations that inspired the film and working with iconic screen legends like Michael Douglas and Oliver Stone. Exclusive: Carey Mulligan Talks Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps

Emerging from a lengthy prison stint, Gordon Gekko (Michael Douglas) finds himself on the outside of a world he once dominated in Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps, a sequel to the classic '80s film, Wall Street. Looking to repair his damaged relationship with his daughter (Carey Mulligan), Gekko forms an alliance with her fiancé Jacob (Shia LaBeouf), and Jacob begins to see him as a father figure. But Jacob learns the hard way that Gekko, still a master manipulator and player, is after something very different from redemption. The film also features Josh Brolin (Jonah Hex) as the head of an investment bank and Susan Sarandon (The Lovely Bones) as Jake's mother. Charlie Sheen (Two and a Half Men), who played the central role of Bud Fox, a young trader, in the original, makes a cameo in the sequel.

Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps was released September 24th, 2010 and stars Michael Douglas, Shia LaBeouf, Josh Brolin, Carey Mulligan, Eli Wallach, Susan Sarandon, Frank Langella, Austin Pendleton. The film is directed by Oliver Stone.
