Based on the legendary, hard-hitting interactive video game, Max Payne tells the story of a maverick cop determined to track down those responsible for the brutal murder of his family and partner. Hell-bent on revenge, his obsessive investigation takes him on a nightmare journey into a dark underworld. As the mystery deepens, Max (Wahlberg) is forced to battle enemies beyond the natural world and face an unthinkable betrayal.
Max Payne was released October 17th, 2008 and stars Mark Wahlberg, Mila Kunis, Beau Bridges, Ludacris, Chris O'Donnell, Donal Logue, Amaury Nolasco, Kate Burton. The film is directed by John Moore.

THEY DONT know how to make games in to a movie im sick of it. im surprised all you people are liking this. look i LOVE max payne huge game fan. like kupo was saying hes right. it should be WAYY darker not this crap and since wen does max payne fight demons in it. CUASE he does now. its deppressing how they cant make a game into a movie now. im sry for all u fans but i cant stand mark Wallberg trying to make his impression of max payne hes terrible at it. i love him as an actor but not in this. IF THEY screw up god of war THEN il be pissed

i was hoping for a more noir style feel, with max payne narrating parts of the story just like the game.
But this is probably the first video game to film adaptation that i might actually like, it looks great so far
