EXCLUSIVE: Take a Look at the New Poster for Tyler Perry's Meet the Browns
In this story about love and family, Bassett will play Brenda, a single mother living in inner-city Chicago who takes her family to Georgia for the funeral of her father, whom she never met. There, she is introduced to the Browns, her father's fun-loving, crass Southern clan. Brenda also finds romance along the way. The story is adapted by Perry from his stage play "Meet the Browns." Perry will portray Madea and Uncle Joe in the film.
Tyler Perry's Meet the Browns was released March 21st, 2008 and stars Tyler Perry, David Mann, Tamela J. Mann, Angela Bassett, Lance Gross, Chloe Bailey, Mariana Tolbert, Rick Fox. The film is directed by Tyler Perry.

All the creators of those films you mentioned have other films in which there are different races involved, but never his. Im not sayin he doesnt have the right, just that its a little odd, I guess.

Funny how no one gets upset when blacks aren't in movies like, let's say, "Along came Polly" or "Devil Wears Prada" or "Superbad" but here's one of the few black directors that decides to make culturally specific films like those above and it's white Sharpton time.
I'm black. Don't really care for Tyler Perry's movies, so I don't watch them. It's simple as that.
Still he has the right to make them.
Angela Bassett in Meet the Browns though just might get me in the theater.
