Actor Michael Rapaport directs Beats Rhymes & Life: The Travels of a Tribe Called Quest, a white hot new musical documentary that follows the rise and influence of one of the most innovative and influential hip hop bands of all time. Ryan J. Downey recently caught up with Michael Rapaport, as well as A Tribe Called Quest's own Phife Dawg for a look at the making of this true-life expose. Beats Rhymes & Life: The Travels of a Tribe Called Quest was released July 8th, 2011 and stars Beastie Boys, Mary J. Blige, Common, Mike D, Phife Dawg, De La Soul, Yasiin Bey, Adam Horovitz. The film is directed by Michael Rapaport.
