The cast and director want to return for Toy Story 4
One of the most beloved film franchises in the history of Pixar Animation Studios, Toy Story, is about to release it's final chapter, Toy Story 3 on June 18th. But will it really be the last time we see Woody and Buzz on the big screen? Not if actress Estelle Harris has anything to say about it. Recently we had a chance to speak with Estelle Harris, who plays Mrs. Potato Head in the films, about Toy Story 3 and the actress dropped this bombshell on us about the future of the series. "There will probably be a Toy Story 4," revealed Harris. Surprised to hear this news we asked the actress if she knew for a fact that a forth chapter of the series was in the works? "It's got to be. If you saw it (Toy Story 3), don't you realize it from the end? Don't you want to know what happens next?" answered Harris. "I toasted it with Champagne. Here is to Toy Story 4!"

We continued by asking the veteran actress if she was looking forward to returning to the franchise for a forth film? "Well of course and so are you," she said to actress Kristen Schaal who was sitting next to her. Equally surprised by this news was Schaal herself, who is best known for her work on the TV shows like Flight of the Conchords and Mad Men, and who also stars in the upcoming film as new toy, Trixie. We asked Schaal if there was any truth to what Harris had said and if she would in fact return for another film. "Oh I am, I am," she laughed. "I can't wait to do Toy Story 4. I'm just going to jump on Estelle's bandwagon that she created," the actress joked. "I have no word on it but she's decided, Estelle Harris has just decided that there is a Toy Story 4 and we are both doing it," Schaal proclaimed.

Finally, we spoke to Toy Story 3 director Lee Unkrich and asked him directly if there were in fact plans already in motion for another film and what he thought about Harris' comments? "We know that Estelle would really like there to be a Toy Story 4 because she loves playing Mrs. Potato Head and she doesn't want to see any of this end," explained Unkrich. "I think that is a testament to the characters. People really love these characters and want to see more of them. In Toy Story 3 we really tried to end this story of these toys and their relationship with Andy but I'm sure we'll see more of the toys in the future," teased the director.

Toy Story 3 was released June 18th, 2010 and stars Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Joan Cusack, Ned Beatty, Don Rickles, Michael Keaton, Wallace Shawn, John Ratzenberger. The film is directed by Lee Unkrich.

It didn't really end. As Lessiter said, "It ended THAT trilogy" Hence a new beginning. I'm up for more Woody, Buzz and the gang. Like I said, they could search for the other toys in other movies. And I think I'm not alone in wanting more. It's not like we have to worry about the actors looking old or anything. If they do another one, they better hope Don Rickles hangs in there.

I was blown away by the great voice match that they came up with for Slinky. Jim Varney passed away right after Toy Story 2 was released. He was going through Chemo when they were filming. I don't know if they could get somebody to replace the voice of Mr. Potatohead. Don Rickles is perfect for that role.

YES! I agree FRATSON. It was very awesome indeed! A little flashback to Andy playing. Nice little nostalgic trip. I was wondering what the heck was going on when I was watching it. Because the other scenes similar in the other movies were based in some sort of reality within the movies themselves. But that beginning in 3 was way out there. I loved the "Attack dog with force field". To finally see it, in Andy's mind was cool.
What's weird is, we were watching home movies, right? So how did we actually see Andy's imagination. Surely that wasn't part of the home movie?

One thing that I've always wondered. Where's Andy and Molly's father? Disney has always had a love affair for single parents, but man, at least explain it.

Let's just wait and see how the third movie is first, eh? The second one was pretty much disgraceful. If they can pick things up with the third one, then I'll see a fourth one.

no way of knowing. no one has seen the 3rd movie. i agree no one wants to over-saturate a classic franchise, but well done films should be the standard, not adhering to some Cecil B. Demile trifecta. When they announced a 3rd movie for TOy Story movieweb commenters went nuts bashing the idea. now that they are seeing the promo materials all are on board. so i say see how the 3rd goes and if they go onto a 4th let it speak for itself.
as for shrek - it was a great first movie. good second movie and has fallen apart ever since... hardly the standard for all of animated/CG films.

Please don't do this. I love Toy Story very very much, heck I grew up on it, don't turn this into Shrek. A 4th film isn't necessary.
