Based on the life of British anti-slavery pioneer William Wilberforce (Ioan Gruffudd), the film follows his 18th century political career, which placed him at odds with some of the most powerful men of the time, including the king.
Amazing Grace comes to theaters in limited release February 23 from Samuel Goldwyn Films.
Amazing Grace was released February 23rd, 2007 and stars Ioan Gruffudd, Romola Garai, Benedict Cumberbatch, Albert Finney, Michael Gambon, Rufus Sewell, Youssou N'Dour, Ciarán Hinds. The film is directed by Michael Apted.
