The Experiment
Oscar® winners Adrien Brody (Best Actor, The Pianist, 2002) and Forest Whitaker (Best Actor, The Last King of Scotland, 2006; star in The Experiment, a mind-shattering psychological thriller from the creator of TV's Prison Break. Selected to participate in a two-week research project, a group of men agree to play inmates and guards in a simulation of life within a state prison. But as the 24 volunteers slip deeper into their roles, power corrupts, fears escalate and the experiment spins horribly out of control. Cam Gigandet (Twilight), Clifton Collins Jr. (Crank High Voltage) and Maggie Grace (TV's Lost) co-star in this intensely shocking film.
The Experiment was released September 21st, 2010 and stars Fisher Stevens, Forest Whitaker, Clifton Collins Jr., Cam Gigandet, Adrien Brody, Maggie Grace, Ethan Cohn, Travis Fimmel. The film is directed by Paul Scheuring.

reminds me of an article i read at cracked not to long ago about an experiment at a college where some people were prisoners and some were guards and all hell broke loose, much like what seems to be happening here.

Just watched the original German version "Das Experiment" from 2001 and it was awesome, hope this will be just as good. And it's apparently coming straight to DVD/BR on 09/21 and not in theaters, MW got it's wires crossed.
