I had the fantastic assignment of interviewing the Skyfall cast in New York City. Daniel Craig, always affable and engaging, was very happy with the film. He had lobbied to bring Director Sam Mendes on to take Bond in a different, more personal direction. The pair had worked together in Road To Perdition and had remained close since. Every Bond film is only as memorable as its villain, fans will be lauding Javier Bardem's performance as the bitter and psychotic Raoul Silva for years. Bardem is a lucid actor, drawing his character's effete narcissism from the script. For him it was all on the page and just like his Oscar winning turn in No Country for Old Men, Javier Bardem lights up the screen with his eerie presence. No Bond film is complete without the sexiest female co-stars, Naomie Harris and Bérénice Marlohe will certainly have hearts fluttering. The exotic beauties loved their leading man, but were very careful to leave their characters secret for the fans.
Skyfall was released November 9th, 2012 and stars Daniel Craig, Judi Dench, Javier Bardem, Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris, Bérénice Marlohe, Albert Finney, Ben Whishaw. The film is directed by Sam Mendes.
