Ali (Christina Aguilera) is a small-town girl with a big voice who escapes hardship and an uncertain future to follow her dreams to LA. After stumbling upon The Burlesque Lounge, a majestic but ailing theater that is home to an inspired musical revue, Ali lands a job as a cocktail waitress from Tess (Cher), the club's proprietor and headliner. Burlesque's outrageous costumes and bold choreography enrapture the young ingénue, who vows to perform there one day.

Burlesque was released November 24th, 2010 and stars Cher, Christina Aguilera, Stanley Tucci, Kristen Bell, Cam Gigandet, Alan Cumming, Eric Dane, Peter Gallagher. The film is directed by Steve Antin.

@Dave I don't think so. It's got a great cast and women love these type of movies. I think it will generate money but I think Christina will be criticized for her portrayal. Just my prediction. This will be one more stepping stone on her career going downhill.

I love Christina but I really don't see her being a believable actress. I know this is her first movie and all where she's playing a character and not herself, but I don't think she'll pull it off well. And then there's the issues of Bionic (her latest album) not selling well and her pulling the plug on her tour, canceling it due to low ticket sales, her change in style and recent bad publicity with divorcing her baby daddy and husband Jordan Bratman... Christina's falling off hard IMO. Sad to say.

Can I also just say... her boob job was unneeded and they look horrible.
