The Narrator: The Better Man
I love how she dated, and was engaged to "Merry", and now she's in The Hobbit. Awesomeness, though I hope her character is at least entertaining and necessary to a point. It wouldn't make sense to have her just to have her, but I trust PJ.

"The cells are empty." She's clearly a Mirkwood-elf then, and not a Rivendell elf.

Huge fan of The Hobbit since I read it first in the early 70s... hated Lost. There were many many differences between the LOTR books & the movies but they were great. Heck, Arwen had one line in the book and Jackson made her a much larger character. "The cells are empty" Sounds like Jackson has beefed up a part of 'The Hobbit' that always seemed to me a little light in story detail. I won't give too much away in case someone hasn't read the book (hard to believe). But Bilbo did just 'hang out' for weeks in the palace of the Wood Elf King before they all quietly floated away.
