Eriq La Salle Returns to ER... as a Director
La Salle, who appeared on the hit series from 1994 to 2002 as Dr. Peter Benton, will direct an episode of the series' final season that will air in February.
La Salle left the series to focus on writing and directing and his directing credits include episodes of Without a Trace, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and the HBO film Rebound: The Legend of Earl "The Goat" Manigault.
"In the years since Eriq left 'ER' he's established himself as a very accomplished director," executive producer David Zabel said. "We're all thrilled to have him contributing a different talent to a show that he's already contributed so much to."
