Eric Bana is set to star opposite Saoirse Ronan
Variety reports that Eric Bana (Star Trek) is in the final negotiations to star opposite Saoirse Ronan in Focus Features' Hanna.

The story follows a 14-year-old girl that has spent her entire life living in the woods. She has been trained by her father to be an assassin. She eventually "leaves the wilderness for the first time to assassinate a high-ranking government official who has a lot to hide."

The script for Hanna was written by Seth Lochhead.

Joe Wright (Atonement) is directing this project. It will start shooting in Germany this March.

Hanna was released April 8th, 2011 and stars Saoirse Ronan, Eric Bana, Vicky Krieps, Cate Blanchett, Paris Arrowsmith, John MacMillan, Tim Beckmann, Christian Malcolm. The film is directed by Joe Wright.
